Admit Your Writing Mistake

By Jason Boog

droppedImage.pngWriting is all about mistakes. The best writers make mistakes every day (and work hard every night to revise them). Now you can share your worst writing mistake with a brand new community, and win a writing handbook for your troubles.

This week mediabistro.com launched a community-content site where all readers are invited to share–complete with an evolving, user-generated title. To get readers warmed up, the site has sponsored a contest that forces writers to admit their worst mistake. Already a few writers have weighed in with their mistakes.

Here’s more from the post: “We’ve all made our share of writing mistakes. Do you have a doozy? Start the healing process and write a post about your worst bad writing habit or blunder. The first five posts that get approved will get a copy of the new ebook Revision Fairy Tales: 21 Writing Mistakes You’ll Never Make Again.”
