Achieving The Viral Effect

So how did Vincent Bugliosi’s campaign really jell together? I asked Jeff Anderson, Senior Publicity Director for FSB Associates who had this to say about marketing The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder online:

The viral effect we managed for the campaign was pretty mind boggling. We reached out to scores of progressive bloggers and newswires. Two of the biggest features that really took off on their own were an exclusive excerpt series we did with Huffington Post and a couple of great features on Common Dreams. There are a lot of other blogs that regularly post their articles. We also got great features with other top sites like Buzzflash and Alternet, as well as at home bloggers. Cumulatively, this lead to an amazing amount of word of mouth. People started sharing the links and mentioning the book on message boards everywhere, even those unrelated to politics. I still see new comments appearing, even though we’re done with the campaign.
