ABC plans to shoot a TV show pilot based on chef Eddie Huang’s memoir, Fresh Off the Boat.
Random House’s Spiegel & Grau imprint released the book back in January 2013. Deadline reports that Huang himself will serve as a producer for this project.
Nahnatchka Khan, a TV industry veteran, has signed on for double duty as both a script writer and an executive producer. The premise for this show “revolves around a Chinese family that moves to suburban Orlando” during the 1990’s. What do you think? (via Eater.com)
