A Crowdsourced Romance Writing Competition

By Dianna Dilworth

Looking to get your romance novel published? Indie publishing house Kensington has partnered with online reading & writing community Wattpad for a crowdsourced writing competition for romance authors.

The “The Write Affair” contest encourages romance writers to submit the first 5,000 words of their novel along with a synopsis which will be read by the Wattpad community, which counts more than 40 million users. The community will vote to choose the 10 finalists. Submissions open on Friday and submissions will be accepted until February 27th.

The first place winner will be announced on April 13, 2015. The winner gets a publishing contract from Kensington’s new imprint, Zebra Shout, which includes a print and digital edition of their book.
