Pilou Asbæk has signed on to join the cast of Game of Thrones for season six. The Danish actor will play Euron Greyjoy.
Here’s more from Variety: “Euron Greyjoy is the uncle of Theon (Alfie Allen) and Yara (Gemma Whelan) and the younger brother of Balon Greyjoy (Patrick Malahide), Lord of the Iron Islands. In George R. R. Martin’s novels, Euron is a skilled warrior who captains a ship called the Silence, and is known for his tempestuous and unpredictable moods.”
Other new members of the cast include Max von Sydow who will portray the Three-Eyed Raven and Ian McShane who has greed to take on a mystery role. The first episode of the new season will air some time in 2016. (via Deadline)
