Really Big Coloring Books stoked controversy recently, publishing We Shall Never Forget 9/11: The Kids’ Book of Freedom–a $6.99 coloring book about the terrorist attacks of 2001. In the video embedded above, publisher Wayne Bell defended his controversial coloring book with some decidedly adult imagery.

This book also describes basic freedoms in America. We suggest parental guidance. As the 9/11 events are shown countless times on national media, this book will help children understand the meaning of these events. The publisher told the Toronto Star that the first print run of 10,000 copies has already sold out.
Council on American-Islamic Relations communications director Ibrahim Hooper criticized the book in the article: “America is full of these individuals and groups seeking to demonize Islam and marginalize Muslims and it’s just a fact of life in the post-9/11 era.”
