40 Days of Dating Creators Land Book Deal

By Jason Boog

40daysJessica Walsh and Timothy Goodman, two designers who earned two million unique visitors with their dating experiment, have inked a book deal.

Abrams will publish 40 Days of Dating: The Book in fall 2014, looking at two friends who decided to go through the motions of a relationship and share the process online.

The book will include  “texts, conversations, artwork, photographs, and details of the romance before, during and after the experiment. Creative Artists Agency negotiated the deal with adult trade publisher Deborah Aaronson. Warner Brothers bought the movie rights in September.

Here’s more about the project:

The dating life in New York City can grow tiresome and wearing. Tim is afraid of commitment, often dating many girls at once, and he’s losing sight of what a healthy relationship means. Jessica is a hopeless romantic, jumping into relationships too quickly, always looking to find “the one.” It’s been said that it takes 40 days to change a bad habit. In an attempt to explore and hopefully overcome their fears and inadequacies, Tim and Jessica will go through the motions of a relationship for the next 40 days: the commitment, time, companionship, joys and frustrations.
