2015 Dayton Literary Peace Prize Winners and Runner-ups Revealed

Dayton Prize 200 (GalleyCat)The winners and runner-ups of this year’s Dayton Literary Peace Prize have been announced. Each winner will receive $10,000 in prize money and each runner-up will be given $1,000.

Bryan Stevenson’s Just Mercy won in the nonfiction category while Josh Weil’s The Great Glass Sea won in the fiction category. Jeff Hobbs’ The Short And Tragic Life of Robert Peace was named the nonfiction runner-up while Anthony Doerr’s All the Light We Cannot See was named the fiction runner-up.

Here’s more from the press release: “Inspired by the 1995 Dayton Peace Accords that ended the war in Bosnia, The Dayton Literary Peace Prize is the only international literary peace prize awarded in the United States. This year’s honorees will be honored on November 1st at the 10th Annual Dayton Literary Peace Prize Gala, one of a series of major events commemorating the 20th anniversary of the historic peace agreement.”
