Open Road Films has unleashed a new trailer for the Snowden biopic. The Guardian reports that two books were used as sources of information for this movie: The Snowden Files by Luke Harding (a nonfiction book) and Time of the Octopus by Anatoly Kucherena (a novel).
The video embedded above offers glimpses of Joseph Gordon-Levitt playing the infamous whistleblower Edward Snowden. Other members of the cast include Melissa Leo, Nicolas Cage, and Shailene Woodley.
