20th Century Fox has unleashed a new trailer for The Revenant. The video embedded above offers glimpses of Leonardo DiCaprio as Hugh Glass and Tom Hardy as John Fitzgerald.
Here’s more from Deadline: “The survival tale follows explorer Glass and his hunting team as they chart and do battle in the wilds of the early 1820s Western frontier. The tale as depicted here, based on true events, may take some liberties—DiCaprio’s Glass has a son in the film, which fuels in part his thirst for revenge, and after being mauled by a bear (that really did happen) it is his own confidant (Tom Hardy) he seeks out for betraying him.”
The story for this film adaptation comes from Michael Punke’s book, The Revenant: A Novel of Revenge. This movie, helmed by Alejandro González Iñárritu, will hit theaters on Dec. 25. Click here to watch a teaser. (via Variety)
