#100daysians Book Featured in Kickstarter

By Maryann Yin

Felicia Liang has raised more than $4,100 on Kickstarter for the #100daysians book. The initial fundraising goal was set at $2,500. We’ve embedded a video about this project above. Click here to check out her instagram page.

Here’s more from the Kickstarter web page: “I started this project as I thought about my upbringing and not seeing Asians in the media or in books and how I felt different from other kids at school. As I’ve grown older, I found it difficult articulating what it means to be an Asian American, to be someone straddling two different cultures, and dealing with microaggressions as both a minority and a female. So I turned to art. I crowdsourced ideas, found inspiration through conversations with friends, and weaved their experiences with my own.”
