Zach Kouwe 'Fired' From Dealbreaker

Zach Kouwe’s been fired again, reports Felix Salmon.

First he “resigned” from the New York Times’ DealBook blog after the Wall Street Journal complained that Kouwe had been plagiarizing its content. Other outlets he’d nicked from included Dealbreaker…which then hired Kouwe on as a freelancer.

But now, barely two months later, Kouwe’s freelance relationship with Dealbreaker is over, this time for apparently abusing his access to the comment moderation board.

It seems that he’d been e-mailing anonymous commenters saying things like “I know where you work.”
