Clear Channel’s WHTZ/Z100 was chosen as the “Station of the Year” at the first annual Worldwide Radio Summit.
“It’s an honor to be named station of the year, and we couldn’t be more appreciative of the support of our millions of fans from across the country, who helped us achieve this level of recognition,” said Sharon Dastur, Z100 program director. “I also want to thank the fantastic Z100 team, which made this milestone a reality. Z100 was victorious in the “Station of the Year” category against 97.1 AMP Los Angeles, 106.1 Kiss FM Dallas, 99.7 Now FM San Francisco, and 107.7 The End Seattle.
The first annual Worldwide Radio Summit took place in Hollywood, California and featured experts from radio, music, digital technology, and social media platforms. Domestic and international awards were handed out to the radio industry.
