Yellow Submarine Designer/Art Director Heinz Edelmann Passes Away

Another day, another sad loss within the industry. First it was Julius Shulman, then Tom Wilkes, and now we’ve learned that Heinz Edelmann has passed away. Edelmann is perhaps best remembered as the character designer and art director on the Beatles‘ animated film Yellow Submarine, but was also a major figure in illustration in his native Germany.
