If the Yankees and Red Sox aren’t enough to evoke interest, how about the AL East title up for grabs?
The Bombers did the deed as they get set for the “second season.”
In the process of last night’s blowout win, the YES Network scored big numbers again. The game averaged 733,000 viewers in New York, tying the network’s September 1, 2011 matchup between the Red Sox and the Yankees as the most-viewed YES program in more than two years.
It was a Red Sox/Yankees game on April 4, 2010 (the season opener) that registered just under 1.1 million viewers.
Of note, last night’s powerful ratings for the Yankees’ clincher on YES came despite the first presidential debate on several broadcast and cable networks.
