Yahoo’s global editor in chief Martha Nelson has been promoted to head of all Yahoo media. According to Recode, Nelson—who joined Yahoo just two months ago—will now report directly to CEO Marissa Mayer.
Nelson was previously a Time Inc. veteran. She was the founding editor of InStyle and became the first woman editor in chief of Time. Nelson left the company last year.
“As we aim to drive long-term, sustainable growth across our Digital Magazines and original content, Martha’s leadership and experience are the right mix to take our vision to the next level,” wrote Mayer, in a memo to staffers.
