Yahoo Finally Finds Affordable Content

Yahoo has cut a deal with Current TV to provide professional and user-generated video clips called Yahoo Current Network, (catchy moniker–NOT) launching today.

Allegedly, the idea is to make viral videos more appealing to advertisers and thus, many of the videos “airing” on Yahoo will be superseded with a :15 or :30-second commercials. Amandazee’s blog promised:

Our goal is still to program the best TV and now, online network in the known universe with viewer-created content.

There’s a basic contradiction in that sentence.
