The Wall Street Journal is adding a weekly residential real estate section to its offerings. Each Friday, “Mansion” will appear in the Journal’s paper and digital platforms. The section will be edited by Emily Gitter and it debuts this week.
“The mantra for real estate has always been location, location, location — the location for the most intelligent, original, trustworthy and insightful journalism on prestige property is now The Wall Street Journal,” said Robert Thomson, editor-in-chief of Dow Jones & Company and managing editor of The Wall Street Journal, in a statement.
The reason for adding a real estate section that covers the most expensive places is pretty clear: It will appeal to high-end advertisers. So expect Mansion to be filled to the brim with ads for stoves that cost more than your car.
