WSJ Boards the Whitney Cummings Comedy Train

While today’s Wall Street Journal piece about stand-up comedienne Whitney Cummings is anchored to some weekend NYC comedy club appearances and was written by east coast correspondent Marshall Heyman, it’s really all about LA.

At the irritatingly young age of 28, Cummings is sitting pretty in a new Valley adjacent home, preparing a pair of TV sitcom pilots for CBS and NBC while doing run-throughs for her upcoming E! talk show Whatever Whitney. The CBS pilot is a collaboration with Sex and the City co-creator Michael Patrick King, a source of both great inspiration and a one-of-a-kind housewarming gift.
