Alternative Rocker WRXP has unveiled its first rock festival–TakLiberty (pronounced Take Liberty) Festival.
The multi-stage rock show takes place on Sunday, September 18 at the PNC Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey.
From the two stages, fans will see Coldplay, Richard Ashcroft, Two Door Cinema Club, The Kooks, Graffiti 6, and The Pains of Being Pure at Heart perform. Those artists just scratch the surface, though, with many others to be included.
“We wanted our first big festival to honor our listeners and offer the tri-state a music festival that featured one of the biggest bands on the planet as well as the best of the new and local acts,” said, WRXP program director and midday host, Leslie Fram. “We are truly honored to have Coldplay headline the RXP TakLiberty Festival and kick off what will hopefully turn into a yearly event!”
Tickets are available at www.livenation.com, charge by phone, and select Ticketmaster locations. Tickets for the general public will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 24.
