Sixty-seventy percent of content in Women’s Running is freelance-written, and around a quarter of that comes from queries. Unlike other running mags, this one is more concerned with its community than elite athletes. The mag covers everything from gear and exercise to nutrition and beauty, and strives to “be the go-to resource of information and inspiration for women who run,” said editor-in-chief Jessica Strebor.

Although most nutrition stories are written by registered dietitians and other experts with nutrition degrees, and most training features are generally written by running coaches.
