Worlds Collide: NYT, Google Earth Team Up

Trendwatch: Newspapers can’t make a buck and we all get our news from the Internet.

If you’re The New York Times, what’s a Lady to do? Well, if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em. The NYT is now offering geo-coded news, updated in real time, that can be viewed on a Google Earth platform. Basically, you read about the news while viewing where it’s happening.

Frankly, we’re still confused so we’ll differ defer to Wei Luo, the Google Earth’s tech lead manager, to provide details on getting access:
