WNYW Anchor Greg Kelly, Son of NYPD Commissioner, Accused of Rape
Greg Kelly, the co-anchor of the WNYW/Channel 5 morning newscast Good Day New York, has been accused of rape. Kelly is the son of New York City Police Department Commissioner Ray Kelly.
According to the Daily News, Kelly’s accuser told police that she met the anchorman October 8 for drinks at the South Street Seaport before Kelly, 43, assaulted her at the law firm where she works.
The Daily News says the woman, who is around 30 years old, waited to report the allegations until Tuesday night at the 13th Precinct.
