WikiLeaks Decries Excessive Government Surveillance

WikiLeaks, international online publisher of leaked government and corporate documents, today published an editorial calling intelligence interest in WikiLeaks “excessive.”

The editorial, by WikiLeaks editor Julian Assange, catalogs detention and threats by agents both secretive and official against WikiLeaks volunteers. Some engagement with the intelligence community is par for the course at WikiLeaks (what a bunch of badasses!), but lately things have gotten out of hand, says the editorial.

“Developing world violence aside, we’ve become used to the level of security service interest in us and have established procedures to ignore that interest.
