When Readers Attack: More Nasty Messages On OCR Site
In an effort to curb the ugly, ugly messages that have swamped the Orange County Register’s Web site, editors added this disclaimer:
From the editor: We want this to be a place where people discuss and debate ideas that foster stronger communities. We built this for you. Please take care of it. Tolerate broad thinking, but take action against obscene or hateful material. Make it a credible and safe place worth preserving and sharing.
The disclaimer is immediately followed by these fair and balanced responses:
Personally, I like the Mexicans and their broods.
