WCBS/Channel 2 Ends May Sweeps with Ratings Growth, Second Place at 11 p.m.
WABC/Channel 7 declared themselves the winner, day to night, in the just concluded May Sweeps period. But, WCBS/Channel 2 saw nice personal improvements since May 2010.
The 11 p.m. newscast with Maurice DuBois and Kristine Johnson finished second in New York with an average of 427,000 viewers, a three percent jump from last May and the station’s biggest late news audience in a May Sweeps in three years. (Chris Wragge co-anchored the late news with Johnson until the end of 2010.)
Additionally, Channel 2 had the only 11 p.m.
