L.A. Eatery Opts for NPR Hosts on the Lunch Menu

Four very recognizable sandwich choices.

One of the latest transitioning pockets of Los Angeles is called Frogtown. And now, a slice of this Dodger Stadium-adjacent neighborhood is set to go to NPR town.

Per Eater LA senior editor Farley Elliott, the husband-and-wife team of Peter Lemos and Lauren Behrle have chosen to name the sandwiches on their Wax Paper Co. lunch menu after NPR and Southern California Public Radio on-air hosts:

What’s the inspiration for naming their new menu after NPR notables like Ira Glass and Lakshmi Singh? “We just came up with the idea in the car one day, while listening to our daily dose of NPR,” says Behrle, adding with a laugh: “Since then, we’ve been pretty passionate about it staying in place.”
