Washington Times Sold To Rev. Sun Myung Moon For A Dollar
The struggling Washington Times has been sold to its founder and former owner, Rev. Sun Myung Moon, by Moon’s eldest son, Preston Moon, for the grand total of one dollar.
The Washington Times‘ sizable debt and liabilities will now be the responsibility of Moon, the paper’s former president and publisher Thomas McDevitt, chairman Douglas M. Joo and finance chief Keith Cooperrider — all fired by the younger Moon four years ago.
The Washington Post is reporting that the paper’s new owners intend to restore its local and sports coverage
