Motherboard, a tech site from Vice, has joined the growing stable of sites that have ended their comment sections. In a twist, Motherboard is asking readers to send letters to the editor.
In a post, Motherboard editor in chief Derek Mead wrote that staffers had debated ending comments for more than a year. The decision to turn to letters to the editor was seen as a way to improve comments and the site at the same time.
