Life isn’t always as effortlessly swishy as it would seem for Vanity Fair publisher and Graydon Carter ally Edward Menicheschi, who attended the Vanity Fair’s fete at London’s National Portrait Gallery as well as another event in New York this week. He deserves our sympathies, to be sure. From Fashionweekdaily:

Edward Menicheschi …. made the rounds chatting up designers … ‘I’m the human table tonight,’ he joked as he politely held guests’ glasses while they had their photo taken.
