Raggin' On Rags: Vag Magazine Debuts At The UCB Theatre

Launching a magazine is a decidedly difficult endeavor, as anyone who has attempted to do such a thing can readily tell you. Launching a feminist magazine? Near impossible. Which is precisely why the situation is ripe for comedy.

Last night, Vag Magazine, a series (check out a teaser here) chronicling the debut of said magazine, debuted at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. The first five episodes follow Bethany (played Kate McKinnon, formerly of LOGO’s Big Gay Sketch Show), Sylvie (Jocelyn Guest of UCB’s own Stone Cold Fox house sketch team) and Fennel (Nicole Drespel of UCB house improv team Robber Baron) as they attempt to create a feminist magazine that’s a “co-operation” rather than a “corporation” using only their cunning, ace crafting skills, and a bucket.
