U.N. Logo Designer Oliver Lincoln Lundquist Passes Away

Another day and another piece of sad news penned by our friend Steven Heller. It was announced by his family that Oliver Lincoln Lundquist, designer of the famous United Nations logo, passed away recently. Although a very sad loss, per usual with Heller’s obituaries, it’s an incredibly interesting look back at designer with a fascinating career, from wartime visual presentation maker to the semi-accidental design of that U.N. logo, to his lifetime of work in all fields of design, including another bit of iconic branding he did: the Q-Tip box.
