TV Land, the cable channel that features a mix of classic programming with original shows, promoted two people executives today.
Kim Rosenblum has been named Executive VP, marketing and creative division. In 2008, Rosenblum was appointed to the newly-created position of TV Land senior vice president, marketing and creative.
She was instrumental in the recent double marketing campaign for “Hot in Cleveland” and “Retired at 35,” the largest marketing campaign in TV Land history.
“Kim’s strategic insight, creativity and rich understanding of the TV Land brand and consumer will insure continued success for the network,” said Larry W. Jones, president, TV Land. “Advertisers and consumers will both benefit from Kim’s unique ability to filter the channel’s goals and to communicate messages effectively to our target audiences.”
Rosenblum joined parent company MTV Networks in 1993.
Additonally, Jaclyn Cohen has been promoted to executive vice president of program strategy and acquistions.
Part of the original team responsible for creating, developing, and launching TV Land, Cohen will continue to be responsible for purchasing off-net series and movies as well as provide strategic direction into the scheduling of all TV Land programming, on-air interstitials and integrated marketing opportunities for TV Land.
Among her recent TV Land acquistions were Everybody Loves Raymond and The Nanny.
“Jaci’s aggressive quest for contemporary acquisitions continues to create a more competitive off-network marketplace,” says Jones. “She has awakened many sellers to all of the programming possibilities available on TV Land and MTV Networks.”
An 18-year veteran of MTV Networks, Cohen holds the distinction of being TV Land’s first ever full-time employee.
Cohen and Rosenblum will continue to be based in New York.
