Michael Schneider Exiting TV Guide Magazine

After five years, the veteran TV editor and executive is moving on.

TVG13_C1_SpringPrev_NS.inddWhen Michael Schneider left Variety in 2011 for TV Guide, the Hollywood trades horizon was stormy. Variety was struggling with a paywall; The Hollywood Reporter had recently relaunched from daily to weekly; Deadline was ruling the breaking-news roost thanks to Nikki Finke; and TheWrap was finding its legs.

Will Schneider, who comments on public radio station KCRW-FM and maintains a well-liked personal blog, Franklin Avenue, return to that fold? TBD. But effective March 31, he will close out his time as chief content officer of TV Guide Magazine.
