More Exits At Tribune Co. Following Michaels' Departure

On the heels of Tribune Co. executive Randy Michael’s much-publicized exit from the company comes news that three of his high-ranking former associates — and members of the headline-inspiring “Clear Channel group” — are doing the same. The Chicago Tribune is reporting that Tribune Interactive president Marc Chase, senior vice president and chief operating officer Jeff Kapugi and executive vice president Carolyn Gilbert are all stepping down from their respective positions.

Sources tell the paper that more departures are underway, with former Clear Channel radio traffic reporter John Phillips set to leave his job as the Tribune Tower’s director of facilities, and his wife, Betsy Phillips, leaving her as Tribune Broadcasting’s vice president in sales.
