Live From Tribeca, It's an SNL Doc
TV show's 40th anniversary celebrations continue with Tribeca Film Festival opening night selection.
Bao Nguyen, the director of Wednesday’s opening night Tribeca Film Festival documentary Live from New York!, recently moved to Saigon, Vietnam after 12 years in NYC. But he’s back in town this week for the big premiere as well as another event Thursday afternoon at the SoHo Apple Store.
The film festival has personal significance for Nguyen on a number of levels. From his recent interview with the festival:
“While I was still at NYU and had no intentions to be a filmmaker, I attended the first ever Tribeca Film Festival in 2002.
