Noah’s family has kept a wry perspective on his international success. “I think my grandmother would be as happy if it was the principal of my school calling to say I’d gotten good marks,” Noah says. Neither of his parents has ever seen him perform; the one time Noah invited his mother to watch him onstage, she declined.
