Treme Actor Michael Showers Found Dead in Mississippi River
The body of 45 year-old actor Michael Showers was found floating in the Mississippi River in New Orleans yesterday, reports the LA Times. Police have not identified the cause of death. Showers had a small role in the HBO show Treme as corrupt police Captain John Guidry. Showers didn’t get much screen time in the most recent season, but the way the show ended, it was likely he was due for a larger role in the third season.
Showers is the second person associated with Treme to die tragically young since joining the show.
