Transcript of Laura Bush's National Design Awards Speech

We’re not entirely sure when this all happened, because the actual award announcements for the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Awards were held a while back, but it also could have very well been held early yesterday in a closed door meeting. What we’re talking about is the release by the White House Press Office of Laura Bush‘s statements concerning the winners of the National Design Awards. It’s a lengthy piece of talking, wherein she congratulates the winners, talking about the importance of design, and takes a couple gentle cracks at her husband’s design skills (insert any negative presidential joke here).
