Chicago All-Stars Chow Down at Another Windy City West Bash
We’re very envious of AP LA reporter Beth Harris. Last night, she got to attend an event in Santa Monica that sounds like it was way more fun than the 2012 Governor’s Ball.
Since 1987, comedian Tom Dreesen has acted as the informal host of an annual “Windy City West” gathering for LA’s various Chicago transplants. At Monday’s 25th-year edition, those in attendance included Chicago Cubs owner Tom Ricketts, “Mr. Cub” Ernie Banks and Harry Carey‘s widow Dutchie.
