Here's what MJD passed on today: - Newsday has shuffled around its upper management. Publisher Terry Jimenez, who just finished a grueling labor negotiation, apparently earned a promotion for his work, becoming president of the Newsday Media Group. Greg Groser will step up to fill Jimenez's role as publisher. - Although no one knows who will run Newsweek next, the magazine stamped a deal with TheStreet.com to use material from the site and place it on Newsweek.com. Newsweek will provide a link back to TheStreet.com, and apparently there's some revenue sharing going on, but the two sides won't discuss specifics. - The Business Insider got a behind the scenes look at Bloomberg TV and they took a lot of pictures. If you ever wanted to see what the organization looks like from the inside, check out the slideshow here. They didn't capture the free snack area, but they did get the magical curved escalator. - The Tribune Co. has told employees not to worry about that pesky court examiner who has found possible fraud in the 2007 purchase of the bankrupted company. "Most important, while there are a lot of variables, we remain optimistic that the company can emerge from Chapter 11 before the end of the year," wrote Tribune's management in an email to employees obtained by Romenesko. "The examiner's report has gotten some media attention, which we expected. Nonetheless, it is important that we all stay focused on the fundamentals and the things we need to do to continue improving the performance of our media businesses."
