Time Inc. Continues To Clean Out Griffin Staff

John Q Griffin has left Time Inc after just six months on the job, minonline reports.
Griffin had been president of Time Inc.’s news group, consisting of Fortune, Money, Time and Life.com. He had been hired by another Griffin, Jack Griffin, who was dismissed in February because he “did not mesh” with Time Inc.‘s culture.

John Griffin’s departure, announced by Time Inc. CFO Howard Averill, was “by mutual agreement.” That and the February 22 decision by Randall Rothenberg to leave Time Inc after only a few months makes this the second and final of Jack Griffin’s “major outside hires” leaving the company.
