Thrillist Steps Into the e-Commerce Game With JackThreads Acquisition
Thrillist, the men’s-lifestyle e-newsletter, today announced that it has acquired JackThreads.com, a members-only purveyor of “streetwear” and skate and surf fashion.
Thrillist now offers subscribers access to JackThreads’ shopping community.
Thrillist CEO Ben Lerer and JackThreads CEO Jason Ross both expressed their enthusiasm for the deal in a statement. “This is a win-win for Thrillist and JackThreads,” said Lerer, saying he is excited to have an additional revenue stream. (Thrillist expects to make more than $10 million in ad revenue this year.)
“Joining forces with Thrillist is the opportunity of a lifetime,” said Ross.
