TheStreet Makes Leadership Changes

Elisabeth DeMarse is out as CEO.

TheStreet has announced two key changes to its leadership team. Elisabeth DeMarse, who was named CEO in 2012, has resigned. She is being replaced on interim basis by Larry Kramer.

DeMarse joined TheStreet after serving as CEO of Bankrate.com and CreditCards.com.

“Under Elisabeth’s leadership the past four years, TheStreet re-established itself as a leading independent digital financial media company,” said TheStreet founder and board member Jim Cramer, founder and member, in a statement. “Many of the initiatives she led, including the acquisitions of TheDeal and BoardEx, have enabled TheStreet to diversify into a broader business-to-business financial services company and not just a markets news service.
