The New Beijing Airport: Impressive, But Eerily Quick and Inexpensive

Dezeen pointed us over to the Guardian‘s coverage of the opening of the new Beijing airport terminal, prepared just in time for all the travelers arriving for the Olympics next year. The paper’s coverage is terrific, giving you any and all details you’d ever need about the place, including what’s involved in the incredible undertaking of putting together “245 acres of floor space.” What’s even more impressive is that they came in half under budget and built it in a third of the time that was planned.
