The Last Days of Bubble

Remember the real estate bubble? Seems like just yesterday, the only thing anyone talked about in Los Angeles was the market. Even the Vegas-commuting strippers who hang out in the hot tub of my 24-Hour-Fitness at 2AM were flipping houses. (Hi to Vanessa, by the way, and good luck with the renovation.) Now, of course, we live in a post-bubble world of modest gains and non-frenzied bidding. So this NYT piece about the home-buying travails of Los Angeles journalist/author Michelle Huneven (‘The Tao Gals’ Guide to Real Estate: Six Modern Women Discover the Ancient Art of Finding’) is a nice little footnote to a bygone-ish era.
