The Guardian Hires Matt Sullivan as US Opinion Editor
The Guardian has hired Matt Sullivan as its US opinion editor. Sullivan comes to the Guardian from the New York Times, where he had been since July of last year. Previously, Sullivan was deputy editor of The Wire and web director for Esquire.
“Matt is a skillful editor. His wealth of experience bringing provocative and important voices to the web will help to sharpen our unique perspective and deepen our dynamic mix of thought-provoking voices,” said Janine Gibson, the Guardian US’s editor, in a statement.
