The End Is Near?

Though the regional unemployment map (below) looks little changed from last month’s, 19 states added jobs in November, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ latest report released today. Texas added 17,000 jobs, while Ohio added 5,400, Georgia added 4,800, and Arizona and Iowa added 4,300 each.

At the same time, Florida shed 16,700 jobs and Michigan another 14,000, so we’re not out of the woods yet.

Last month, total employment dropped by only 11,000, and as we know, less down is the new flat.
