The Atlantic Outsmarts Circulation Woes
In what has been a rough year circulation-wise for magazines, The Atlantic is bucking the trend.
With the help of press generated by its controversial Britney Spears and Google cover stories, the magazine reported a 12.9 percent increase in paid circulation during the first half of 2008. According to a press release, the magazine had a total circulation of 439,318 during the six-month period ending June 30, nine percent over its rate base.
