New Tesla Breaks Consumer Reports Ratings Scale

For those who can afford, the P85D is also one of the "quietest" vehicles the magazine has ever tested.

On a scale of one to 100, the all-wheel-drive version of the 2015 Tesla Model S (a.k.a. P85D) has received from Consumer Reports the perfect rating of 100.

But as BloombergBusiness’s Mark Clothier explains, the score was actually higher:

Tesla’s all-wheel-drive version of the battery-powered Model S earned a 103 out of a possible 100 in an evaluation by Consumer Reports magazine…

Based on the P85D’s scores, Consumer Reports had to reassess how much to weigh things like acceleration, where the Tesla is as much as twice as quick as other vehicles, [head of automotive testing Jake] Fisher said.
